Sharing My Faith Effectively Part 2
CC=Clear Communication
We must be able to present the gospel in a manner that can be understood. I would not go to speech class and speak on riding horses if I have not studied how to ride horses or practiced my speech.
We need to discover our approach or method to sharing our faith:
*confrontational-Peter (Matt 16:15-16)
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
*intellectual-Paul (Acts 17:16-34)
16 Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry. 17 Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him. 18 Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection. 19 And they took him, and brought him unto Areopagus, saying, May we know what this new doctrine, whereof thou speakest, is?....
*testimonial-Blind Man (John 9:25-27)
25 He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see. 26 Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes? 27 He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples?
*relational-Matthew (Luke 5)
Friends bring man with palsey before Christ.
*invitational-Samaritan woman (John 4)
27 And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her? 28 The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, 29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? 30 Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.
*Service-Dorcas (Acts 9:36)
36 Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did. 37 And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber. 38 And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them. 39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them. 40 But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up. 41 And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive. 42 And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord. 43 And it came to pass, that he tarried many days in Joppa with one Simon a tanner.
We must be prepared to have spiritual conversations. Therefore, PRACTICE sharing. Pray. And be willing to be used and led by the spirit.

Why, though? It just make some people stressed and other be annoyed. Does your Lord want that?
i like spiritual converstions! it kinda bothers me though when you open up to people and they totally shut you off and don't want you to open up, and then shut themselves off. but when peopel DO decided to open up and share their hearts, SUCH a blessing!
Brainhell--
Practice may not come in the form as practicing for a speech, but it does require a knowledge of the material. Practice for some may be the reading of God's word and prayer. Others(tending to be those with a gift of sharing may spend more time with a prepared presentation of the gospel).
